Ill be the first to admit i dislike the googan franchise as a whole but i swear i cannot get behind a whopper plopper with the prop in the rear so close to the rear treble. The googan lure has the prop in the middle and i hate to say it has proven itself time after time.

Bro I was fishing a swim jig Thursday early evening and threw between two log lay down trees and had a monster hit it and I reeled it up to about 2 feet from the boat she jumped clear out of the water and threw my hook and I was sick, she was huge I would guess between 8 and 8 1/2 pounds and I live in Southern Ohio so that’s absolutely a monster here. Her mouth was bigger than my hat

Man I absolutely love my Deps Evoke Zero baits. I don’t even own the 120 because the 150 is crazy productive for 5 pound plus class fish. 7’6” heavy action flipping stick and hang on!! I run it on my Megabass Evoluzion white python.

Just got my Gravel Dawg 8 and was throwing it today. Bank to boat, maybe forty feet. First couple of cranks it would dive and then it would shoot to the surface and come back like a top water. 12lbs Seaguar Flouro. I’m going to try it again, but so far not impressed.

Its probably not going to last that long frogging with its carbon frame and those havw always had the mo of not lasting that long when fished hard. I suggest if youre a baitcast person (not a beginner) just spend another 20$ and get a slx it will last a lot longer with the aluminum frame.

I don't know if there is an advantage over spinning its just so darn fun throwing little baits like that or little crankbaits. I love skipping around a wacky rig on my BFS . Im not in to all the super light stuff i stick to 1/8 to 1/4 lure on my BFS. Anything I would throw on a medium spinning is what I throw on my medium-light Curado rod & reel. Also pitching is more enjoyable on a casting reel over a spinning.

Okuma are killing the spinning reel competition, and the ceymar is a fantastic reel. I have the new HD 4000 and it's just as good as my daiwa seeled reels.

The popper is my go to for Mach. That to me is the only bait they make so far that stands out. It's basically a megabass popper but it does work extremely well. It pops amazingly and sounds great. I've caught tons of fish on them. Other than that the other ones are just different versions of already established baits.

Fenwick has been a great rod company as long as I can remember, 72 years so far. I have never broken one. "Gloom Is" break on small fish. St Cracks fail just above the handle on a big fish. Shakespeare are not fancy but sure hold up.

Which swims the best between it and the Gilly? Do you see much difference in action between the different sizes?

I picked some up a couple months ago. I am a fan of the gilly so I was looking forward to this bait. I found that it doesn’t have action at all. Tried it weightless and added nail weight to it and still didn’t do much. Think the application you were using the bait for bed fishing could be good but swimming the bait didn’t impress me.

Why does the 6th Sense Panarama smell like acetone?

I've been interested in trying out the Machshad 100 and 120 swimbaits. They look pretty interesting. I think they're like $11.25 right now at Midway.

Their CS is top notch. Had a rod break and just sent a pic and they sent an upgraded replacement no questions asked.
